SHIP DOCTOR, THE (An Dochtúir Loinge). AKA and see "Hyp Doctor (The)." Irish, Slip Jig. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Peter Kennedy (1999) prints the tune as "The Hip Doctor," which looks at first glance to be a misprint. However, the melody appears in English publications dating to 1750 as "The Hyp Doctor," so it appears that is the correct title.
