HOMESTEADER'S REEL. American, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Vermont fiddler Ron West joined the Northeast Fiddlers Association in 1967. He placed first in numerous contests, including the Northeast Regional in 1968, and '69; Craftsbury Common in 1974; Stark, New Hampshire in 1975; and the Traditional New England Fiddlers contest held in Hartford, Connecticut in 1976.
