X:1 T:Moonshine Kate C:Chris Haigh M:4/4 L:1/8 K:D Major N:It was thought that Fiddlin' John Carson wrote this tune for his daughter Rosa Lee Carson N:in 1927. They performed together as Fiddlin' John Carson and Moonshine Kate. N:However, it's impossible to find a recording of him playing this tune and that's because it was written by Chris Haigh in London, England N:and published in his book "Fiddling Around the World". He has also taught it at fiddle workshops, hence its popularity in sessions here in the UK. N:I've used the version by Tim Cotterell, Heather McAslan, Lindsey Oliver and James D Smith on YouTube.
