Tune properties and standard notation
HUNT [1], THE ("An Seilg" or "An Fiadac"). AKA and see "Galtee Hunt (1)," "Mount Pheobus Hunt," "Mountfamous Hunt (The)." Irish, Set Dance (cut time). G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Stanford/Petrie): AABB (most versions). The 'B' part, at twelve measures, is longer than the eight-measure 'A' part; not uncommon for set dance tunes.
