Composed by Antrim, New Hampshire, fiddler Rodney Miller, who told Susan Songer (Portland Collection) that he was inspired after hearing his five year old daughter Elvie spontaneously comment upon seeing a mannequin with a spiked and frazzled coif, "That one has Bad Hair!".
