J. SCOTT SKINNER [1]. AKA - "J. Scott Skinner (2)." Scottish, Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler and composer J. Murdoch Henderson (1902-1972) in 1933, in honor of the renowned Scots fiddler-composer J. Scott Skinner [1] (1843-1927). Murdoch also named a reel composition in Skinner's honor (see "J.Scott Skinner (1)"). See also Henderson's accompanying reel, "J. Scott Skinner (1)."
