It appears as "Jenny Bang..." in London publisher John Johnson's Wright's Compleat Collection of Celebrated Country Dances, vol.2 (1742), with the alternate title "Musselbourough," and in the music manuscript collections of Walter Rainstorp (Cheapside, London, 1747), Thomas Hammersley (London, 1790), and John Fife (1780, Perthshire and perhaps at sea).
