Tune properties and standard notation
CABLE STITCH, THE. Irish, Jig. A Major ('A' part) & D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Composed by fiddler and piano player Josephine Keegan (b. 1935), of Mullaghbawn, south County Armagh. The title refers to a knitting stitch, common in Aran patterns (Keegan was also knitted as a hobby for some years).
