CATTLE IN THE CANE [2]. Oldtime, Breakdown. USA, Texas. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. John Hartford said Texas fiddler Norman Solomon told him the "old-time name" for Franklin's "Cattle in the Cane" was "Sheep Shell Corn." This tune is a variant of Cattle in the Cane (1).
