Tune properties and standard notation
DIED IN/ON THE FIELD OF BATTLE. Old-Time. D Major. The tune was in the repertoire of Mack Snodderly, North Carolina, who played a rather slow, dirge-like version. His tune is related to "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine (1)".
