Tune properties and standard notation
DOORUS MILL. Irish, Jig. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). Composed by County Cork accordion player Jackie Daly in honor of his former house. Doorus Mill is a lovely old cottage beside a ruined flour mill on edge of the sea. The mill was built by an exiled French aristocrat who built the cottage for his mistress; it dates from the early 1800s. Compare the first strain with that of "Banshee's Wail Over the Mangle Pit (The)", and "Young Tom Ennis."
