Tune properties and standard notation

DOWN THE WAGON WAY [1]. AKA and see "The Beer Stains." English, Reel. England, Northumberland. D Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune appears in the 1770 music manuscript book [1] of Northumbrian musician William Vickers, about whom unfortunately little is known. The alternate title is Vickers'. The tonality is odd, perhaps because accidentals were omitted. "The Beer Stains" was Vickers' alternate title.
