Tune properties and standard notation
DOWN THE BACK LANE. AKA and see "Boring the Leather (2)," "Tolladh an Leathair." Irish, Slide (12/8 time) or Double Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB' (Moylan): AABB (Mitchell). This was famed County Clare piper Willie Clancy's title for the jig usually known as "Boring the Leather." "Come with Me Now," "Hills of Larraga (The)," "Humors of Ayle House (The)," "Jimmy Doyle's Favourite Jig," "Kilfinane Jig (The)", "Shoemaker's Fancy (The)" and "When You Go Home" are related tunes.
