FORTY YEARS AGO WALTZ [2]. American, Waltz. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "Forty Years Ago Waltz" is one of the '100 essential Missouri fiddle tunes' according to Missouri fiddler Charlie Walden. Walden says he recently announced the "Fifty Years Ago Waltz" but instead played the "Forty"-"Correction by my peers was immediate and plentiful!" He thinks the title refers to a wedding anniversary.
