FORLORN LOVER, THE (An Graduigteoir Treigte). Irish, Air (3/4 time). G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears to be a variant of "Irish Lamentation" or "King James' March to Limerick."
Source for notated version: "J. O'Neill" [O'Neill]. Chicago Police Sergeant James O'Neill was a fiddler originally from County Down. He served as Francis O'Neill's transcriber and collaborator on his early volumes.
