Tune properties and standard notation


GLENDARUEL HIGHLANDERS. AKA and see "Campbelltown Loch." Scottish, March (6/8 time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABC. The melody was written by Pipe Major A. Fettes for the family of MacDougall-Gillies (d. 1925), a 19th century champion piper who was a native of Glendaruel, Argyll (MacDougll-Gillies won the Oban and Inverness Gold Medals in 1884 and 1885 respectively).
