HAPPY MAN. English, Morris Dance Tune (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A singing dance went to this tune, from the village of Adderbury, North Oxfordshire, England. The original tune was noted by Janet Blunt from the last of the old village dancers, William Walton, in 1917. Blunt recorded it was "especially sung by old Soloman Lines...he was a noted singer and his neighbours called him 'The Happy Man' because of this song" (Suff, 1994).
