Tune properties and standard notation
HAPPY GO LUCKY. Canadian, Reel or Hornpipe. Canada, Cape Breton. C Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A 'double-tonic' tune composed by Cape Breton fiddler and composer Dan R. MacDonald (1911-1976), according to Cameron. Mark Wilson says it is credited to Northside fiddler Donald MacLean, to whom it is also attributed by Paul Steward Cranford (see "Happy Go Lucky Clog (The)."
