HIGH ROAD TO GLIN, THE. Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Bronx fiddler and teacher Martin Mulvihill (1928-1987, originally from Ballygoughlin, west County Limerick) while riding on a train in New York City. Glin is in north Limerick on the south bank of the river Shannon. Bill Black (1996) remarks that Glin sports a nice castle, of course said to be haunted! See also "Low Road to Glin (The)."
