Tune properties and standard notation
HIGHLAND LADDIE [2]. AKA and see "Highland Laddie's Hornpipe." English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. Seattle (1987) says that the first half of the tune is very similar to "Highland Laddie's Hornpipe" (Highland Laddie (1)) in Vickers' MS, while the 'B' part is a repetition of "Buttered Peas (1);" but Vickers' and Peacock's versions seem very similar to me.
