Tune properties and standard notation
HUMOURS OF CALEDON, THE. AKA and see "Blast of Wind (A)," "Clout (The)," "Cock in the Heath (2)," "Drops of Springwater," "Humors of Westmeath," "Kiss in the Furz (1)," "Rakes of Westmeath (1) (The)." Irish, Slip Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Petrie): AABB (Mulvihill). Petrie found the tune in Father Walsh's manuscript. The earliest printing of this tune family appears in a collection of country dances printed by Neale (Dublin, 1726), under the title "Clout (The)."
