Tune properties and standard notation
ICE ON THE ROAD. Canadian (originally), American; Reel. E Dorian ('A' part) & G Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Songer): AA'BB' (Bohrer/Kibler). Composed by Ontario fiddler Graham Townsend and named for a tense winter's drive from Ottowa to Cornwall, according to Susan Songer (1997). The tune was released as a single (45 RPM) in 1966.
