BLACK ROCK [1], THE. Irish, March (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Kennedy): AABB (O'Farrell, O'Neill). There are numerous 'black rock' placenames in Ireland, in, for example, County Sligo and County Mayo. Peter Kennedy adds 'black rocks' in Cork, Dublin, Louth and Wexford.
