Tune properties and standard notation

MRS. FORBES OF NEWE. Scottish, Reel. A Mixolydian/Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Alexander Walker in honor of a member of the family of his employer, Sir Charles Forbes (1803-1877) 3rd Bart., of Castle Newe. In 1830 married Carolyn (or Caroline) Battye (.d 1877). If the tune is named for her, then it was presumably composed before the year 1852, the year Charles became Baronet at the death of his father, after which his wife would have been titled "Lady" instead of "Mrs."
