'BLOTE'R GORLLEWIN (Flowers of the West). Welsh, Air or March (4/4 time). E Minor. Standard tuning. AABB. Compare with Henry Playford's "Glory of the West," which first appeared in the 10th edition of the Dancing Master (London, 1698) and was retained through the end of the long running series, concluding with the 18th edition in 1728 (by which time it was published by John Young). "Blote'r Gorllewin" may have first appeared in John Parry's British Harmony (1783).
