Back to Chóisir (An)
CHÓISIR, AN (The House Party). AKA and see "House Party (The)," "Toormore Slide (The)." Irish, Slide. "An Chóisir Cheoil" (The House Party, or The Musical Party) is the name of a mid-20th century collection (actually a series of pamphlets) of songs by the influential Seán Óg Ó Tuama. Sliabh Luachra accordion player Johnny O'Leary popularized the tune.
