KELSTERNE GARDENS. English, Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune dates to 1726 when it was published by John Young in the Third Volume of the Dancing Master, 2nd edition [1]. Young was heir to the Playford publishing concerns. It also appears in Walsh's Third Book of the New Country Dancing Master (1728, p. 110). The dance was performed in the movie version of Jane Austin's Emma.
