II, 3rd and 4th editions, published in London in 1718 and 1728, respectively. At that time the long-running Dancing Master series was being published by John Young, heir to the Playford publishing concern. It also appears in Walsh's Second Book of the Compleat Dancing Master (London, 1719). Flora was the Roman goddess of flowers and the wife of Zephyr--the West wind of Springtime. The allegorical pair was the subject of several painting, ballet and stage works.
