KITTY SEAN'S (BARN DANCE). AKA - "Kitty Sean Cunningham's Barn Dance." Irish, Barn Dance (4/4 time). Ireland, County Donegal. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Picked up by Dermot McLaughlin and other Donegal fiddlers from the lilting of the elderly (and very hospitable) Kitty Sean Cunningham (b. 1919, Cruachlann, County Donegal), of Teelin, Donegal, a lover of dance and traditional music and a resource for the area's older traditional repertoire. The tune was popularized by influential Donegal fiddler James Byrne.
