ARKANSAS HOP. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Missouri. A Major. AEae tuning (fiddle). AA’BBCC. Related to “Rye Straw,” in the opinion of Mark Wilson. Drew Beisswenger (2008) also notes similarties to the Ozark version of “Paddy Won’t You Drink Some Good Old Cider.” The third part is entirely pizzicato, although source Teague strummed instead of plucked the fiddle.
