MISS BANE McQUIRE'S REEL. English, Jig. England, Northumberland. G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Seattle notes the name 'Bane' is unexplained. A similarly-titled tune, "Miss McQueir's Reel", appears in the collection of John Riddle, but is not musically related. However, Seattle finds some similarities between Vickers' "Bane McQuire's" and Riddle's "Capt. Cunningham of Corsehill", and cites particularly bars 1 and 5.

Source for notated version: the c. 1770 music manuscript collection of Northumbrian musician William Vickers [1] [Seattle].
