LONDON HORNPIPE [1]. AKA and see "Navvie (The)," "Navvie on the Line." Canadian, American; Hornpipe. G Major (Cole, Page, Ryan): A Major (Messer). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A hornpipe of unknown, but probably British provenance. See also similar British Isles tune called "Navvie (The)" or "Navvie on the Line," credited to Tyneside composer James Hill. North American tunes in the family are "Montreal Hornpipe" and "Old Blind Sow She Stole the Middlins' (The)."
