QUAYSIDE [2], THE. English, Scottish; Hornpipe. A Major (Fitzgerald, MacDonald): G Major (Northumbrian Pipers’). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Biography:James Hill (c. 1811-1853), a 19th century musician and publican originally from Scotland who lived most of his life in Tyneside, Northumberland. The Quayside is one of the oldest parts of Newcastle.
