MANCHESTER REEL [3]. AKA and see "Galway Rambler (The)." Irish, Reel. The tune was recorded as the second in a medley with "Dunmore Lasses (The)" and "Castlebar Traveler (The)" by Whitepark near Glenamaddy, North Galway flute player Tom Morrision (1889-1958) in September, 1927 (with John Reynolds on "tambourine" or bodhran). Varlet & Spottswood note the tune is better known today as "The Galway Rambler." Morrison's medley was also released on Columbia 37380 (78 RPM) in 1947.
