HAYDEN FANCY. AKA and see "Johnny Box," "Mary Ann," "O'Connor's." Irish, Polka. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Hayden's Fancy" (or "The Hayden's Fancy") appears to be the older name for the tune. The "O'Connor's" title comes from the Boys of the Lough, who recorded the tune after learning it from accordion player Martin O'Connor who joined the group for their 1980 "Regrouped" album. "Johnny Box" is the name of the tune in Anthony Sullivan's collection, while Matt Cunningham and Miller & Perron give the title as "Mary Ann."
