MISS PATTERSON'S SLIPPER (Slipéir Iníon Mhic Pháidín). AKA and see “Crowley's Reel (3),” “Master Crowley's (1),” "Miss Patterson.” Irish, Reel. E Dorian/Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Kennedy): AABB (O’Malley): AABBCCDE (Feldman & O’Doherty). Caoimhin Mac Aoidh says “Miss Patterson’s Slipper” is the title source John Doherty used for the tune, although the first and second strains of his version are actually a version of “Master Crowley’s (1)” while the third and fourth strains together are the “Roscommon Reel (The).” This corresponds to the pairing of "Miss Patterson's" and "Roscommon Reel (The)" recorded as "Master Crowley's" in 1937 by Donegal fiddler Hugh Gillespie.
