McDERMOTT'S BARNDANCE. AKA - "McDermott." AKA and see "Chaffpool Post (2) (The)," "Curlew Hills Polka (The)," "Glenbeigh Hornpipe," "Morrison's Polka." Irish, Barndance. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune (which usually goes by one of the alternate titles, above) was recorded in 1931 for the Crown label under the "McDermott" title by Sligo fiddler Paddy Killoran, in duet with fellow fiddler Paddy Sweeney (played in a medley with "Memory of Sligo").
