MOUNTAIN PATHWAY, THE. AKA - "Mountain Path," "Peter Horan's." Irish, Polka or Barn Dance. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Paired with "Return of Spring (The)", the tune was recorded (as a polka) by South Sligo fiddler James Morrison (1893-1947) in New York in early 1926 (with pianist Claire Reardon). The tunes are often simply known as "Morrison's Polkas."
