COLONEL BAIRD [1]. Scottish, Jig. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by "the late Mrs. Oswald of Auchicruive" (nee Mary Ramsay, who died in 1788). The melody honors Sir James Baird who, in 1781, married Henrietta Johnson of Hilton.
