DUNDEE LASSIE. English, Air (whole time). D Major (Aird): B Flat Major (Davie). Standard tuning (fiddle). One part: AABB (Davie). "Dundee Lassie" is a song attributed to English stage composer William Shield (1748-1829) in Vocal Magazine (1799), although the attribution cannot be verified. It was also published by John Watlen in Edinburgh, who described it as "a favorite Scotch song."
