England, Northumberland. G Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Matt Seattle [1] notes: "A rousing Border pipe rant, this tune was already old by 1770, the earliest versions (Scottish) having variants of the Where Will Our Good Man Lie title (which is also used for another tune)." A version is in Northumbrian musician Henry Atkinson's 1694-95 music manuscript collection under the title "Wheir must our good man ly?"/"Where will Our Good Man Lay? (2)."
