WATERFORD GIRLS (Cailíní Phort Láirge). AKA and see "Breuddwyd y wrâch," “Drive the World Before Me (1)," "Humors of Jerpoint (The).” Irish, Scottish; Slip Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Similar in the first part to “Sail round the Rocks.” See also the related “Shamrock (Slip Jig).” The melody appears in R.M. Levey's Dance Music of Ireland, vol. 2 (1873) as "Drive the World Before Me (1)."
