PARISH OF DALMAILING. Scottish, Strathspey. E Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by biography:James Porteous (1762-1847), "The Musical Miller" of Annandale, who published his Collection of Stratspey, Reels and Jigs in 1829. He was a friend of the Gows, and a contemporary of Nathaniel Gow. See also his "South of the Grampians."
