PIPER ON HORSEBACK, THE. AKA and see “Mist on the Mountain (1) (The).” Irish, Reel. A Mixolydian (‘A’ part) & D Major (‘B’ part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune was played in a set with "[[Merry Harrier's (The)/Mick Hoys" by County Donegal musicians Frankie Kennedy (flute) and Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh (fiddle) on tour in America in the mid-1970's.
