JOHN MACKENZIE'S FANCY. Scottish, Pipe Hornpipe. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. The hornpipe form on the Scottish great-pipes is a relatively recent invention of the last fifty years. The piece was composed by James A. Barrie. See also MacKenzie's own composition, "Portree Bay."
