PRIEST'S LEAP [2], THE (Leim an t-Sagairt). AKA and see “Draught of Ale (A),” “Down with the Tithes (2),” "Red Stockings (2),” “Saddle the Pony (1)." Irish, Double Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (O'Neill/1850): AA'BB (O'Neill/Krassen). The first strain is similar to that of “Priest's Leap (1) (The).” See also the cognate first strain of turn of the 20th century New Hampshire fiddler John Taggart's "Clark's Favorite (2)."
