PURE DROP [1], THE. AKA and see “Honeymoon Reel (2) (The),” “Maid Who Left the County (1) (The).” Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Kennedy): AABB (Levey, Roche). The term 'pure drop' refers to the distillation of liquor, but is used euphemistically to describe core traditional Irish music and traditional performance.
