WILKE'S WRIGLE. AKA and see "Quaker's Wife," "Merrily Danced the Quaker('s Wife)." Scottish, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in several American musicians' manuscript collections of the latter 18th century, including the copybooks of Oliver White (1775, Conn.), William Williams (1775, Pautuxit, R.I.) and Luther Kinglsey (1795, Mansfield, Conn.).
