DOWN THE BANK. English, Reel. England, Northumberland. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Northumbrian musician William Vickers setting [1] of this tune may be unique, according to the FARNE site, where it is identified as being a member of the family of tunes that includes "Aldivalloch", "Roy's Wife of Aldivalloch", "Ruffian's Rant", and David Young's similarly titled "Down on Yon Bank."
