CAILTLÍN NÍ UALLACHÁIN (Kitty/Katty Nowlan). Irish, Air (3/4 time). D Minor (Bunting): D Major (Goodman). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Goodman, Stanford/Petrie): AABB (O'Sullivan/Bunting). Petrie's Music of Ireland (1892, p. 8) contains two variants of this tune along with six verses and notes.

Sources for notated versions: the Irish collector Edward Bunting noted the tune from the harper Charles Byrne (Co. Leitrim) in 1806; "From P. Coneely," the Galway piper [Stanford/Petrie]; James Goodman music manuscript collection [1] (County Cork, mid-19th cent.) [Shields].
